As part of Fajar Secondary School Teachers’ Day celebration on 5 Sep 2019, a competition for the fastest fingers was organised. Ten students were short-listed to take up the challenge of making the longest rubber band chain in three minutes. Largest Mural Made Of Lego Bricks

2,800 community grassroot leaders and volunteers who helped to explain the Merdeka Generation package to senior citizens were invited for lunch by the Silver Generation Office on 1 Sep 2019. Displayed at the event in Singapore Expo was a Lego wall mural, to honour the seniors, measuring 6.9m by 2.2m. 233,104 single-stud Lego bricks were used to form the mural. First Women’s Mass IPPT

Great Eastern organised the first all-women’s Individual Physical Proficiency Test (IPPT) on 24 August at the Singapore Sports Hub. Together with its annual women’s run, it aims to give women a better understand of their fitness levels as part of its campaign ‘Plan Like A Woman, Plan For The Long Run‘. 551 women took part in the IPPT which covered sit-ups, push-ups and the 2.4km run. 40 teams with a total of 260 paddlers took part in the tug-of-war competition by rowing rather than pulling. At SAFRA’s Dragon Battle, 2 teams of 6 paddlers each rowed a single dragon boat in opposite directions to determine the stronger of that round. There are about 7,000 people on dialysis in Singapore and the National Kidney Foundation organises education programmes regularly urging people to exercise and eat healthily. Muslim Converts’ Association of Singapore (Darul Arqam) organised its annual charity event on 25 Aug 2019 at its premises.
