Ngee Ann Polytechnic lecturer Ng Beng Kiat won the 32nd All Japan Micromouse Competition with a timing of 3.921 seconds and setting a new world record in the process. On 20 Nov 2011, his 4-wheeled palm-sized micromouse named Min7.1 was the overall winner while his half-sized mcromouse captured second place in that category. He was also the All Japan Micromouse champion in 2003, 2004, 2006 and 2008.
