The Kopitiam Group of Companies broke the world record with the grilling of a 140.02m satay at Boon Tat Street next to the Lau Pa Sat Festival Market. The satay was sponsored by Jumain Sataysfaction and Satay Power. The event on 21 Jul 2007 was part of the Singapore Food Festival. Singapore’s Thomson CC was the previous satay world record holder with an 83m-long satay held since 20 Jun 1998.
