About 8 volunteers from the Kampong Tiong Bahru West RC spent about a month cutting and sewing 7,632 pieces of triangular cloth to make a Singapore flag. At National Kidney Foundation Sit-A-Thon event held on 28 Jul 2013 at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza, 1,350 participants played shakers accompanied by drums and percussion played by Temasek Polytechnic students. Largest Garden Made of Recycled Materials
The Dairy Farm Group’s annual community engagement event this year was held at the open space near JCube on 21 Jul 2013. A highlight of the event was the participation by 10 schools to create an artistically designed garden measuring 19.2m by 8m and using recycled materials. Some 2,000 residents, including new immigrants, gathered at the Lawn@Marina Bay on 20 Jul 2013 for the annual International Cultural Fiesta. Most Number Of Origami Hearts Folded In 1 Hr
In its Heart-for-Rice charity drive, Kaki Bukit youths folded 65,434 origami hearts in one hour.
