Singapore’s $10,000 note was first issued in 1973 and then discontinued by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) in 2014 as part of its anti-money laundering controls. But, it is still circulating and the note will remain legal tender indefinitely. The United States issued a $10,000 note in 1928 but stopped printing in 1949. In 1969 it was taken out of circulation but some remained in collectors’ hands.
