Emma Lin Ziwei was 8 years 1 month, and managed to write down from memory 510 digits for the square root of 61, an irrational number. She was tested in her home on 17 Mar 2026. She chose to do 61 as this is Singapore’s 61st year of independence. At 7 and 8, she topped the Singapore Primary School Xiang Qi Under-8 competition. She also won the U9 Xiang Qi Pesta Sukan 2025.
