NTU held its annual Joint Hall Bash (JASH 2016) for freshmen at Siloso Beach, Sentosa, on 19 Aug 2016. At the event, participants spent hours taking turns to paste pieces of cupcake liners on a board measuring 2.2m by 3.6m. Who would have thought that the new contender for Singapore’s longest lady’s finger, or okra, is actually growing in a pot outside a Pasir Ris HDB flat? Largest Montage Made Of Plastic Trinkets
Whampoa View RC got residents and the nearby schools to help build a 2.1m by 26.5m montage fronting Whampoa Drive for the National Day celebrations. Participants drew and glued on small colourful translucent pieces of plastic on about 5,000 pieces of acrylic sheets. These were later stringed and mounted on a frame.
