Whampoa View RC got residents and the nearby schools to help build a 2.1m by 26.5m montage fronting Whampoa Drive for the National Day celebrations. Participants drew and glued on small colourful translucent pieces of plastic on about 5,000 pieces of acrylic sheets. These were later stringed and mounted on a frame. The SG50 Rainbow Rangoli project was led by Mrs Vijaya Mohan and officially lighted up on 2 Aug 2015.
