Who would have thought that the new contender for Singapore’s longest lady’s finger, or okra, is actually growing in a pot outside a Pasir Ris HDB flat? Iris Tam, who has been growing the plant after attending the Gardeners’ Day Out event at HortPark on 4 April 2015, was surprised that one of its fruits reached a record 33 cm on 9 Aug 2015.
