Nine migrant engineers from India working here wanted to celebrate SG61 by building a commemorative sculpture. To mark Singapore’s 61st year of independence, James Cook University (Singapore Campus) had staff and students to write messages on postcards on what Singapore meant to them. Largest Singapore Map Made Of Bottle Caps
Sengkang residents, schools and some companies collected over 28,000 used bottle caps to create this huge display of the Singapore map. Completed on 2 Aug 2026, the map measured 5.9m by 3.5m and was displayed at Rivervale CC. Sitting on the bottle caps were cardboard sculptures of iconic places like the airport, harbour, MBS, RWS, Sungei Buloh and the Flyer. Read More »
