80 students from the Imperial College Singapore Society in London created the world’s largest jelly mosaic out of 16,125 box-sized jelly pieces in the shape of the Singapore flag on the university lawn on 21 Feb 2004. The record jelly mosaic measured 12.8m by 19.8m and was named Flag-Gel-Lah as part of ICSS’s aim to create a record-size Singapore flag (Flag), that gels the Singaporean community (Gel) and introduces the Singapore slang, culture and dessert to the world (Lah).
