The first recycling drive organised by the Singapore Youth Group of Rajayoga Power Transcendental Meditation Society brought in 3.5 tons of recyclable waste products, among them 10,590 plastic bottles. Longest Spice Line

About 200 years ago, Singapore became an important entrepot largely because of the demand for spices from western countries. Many of the early Indian Muslims were spice traders. Hence Nagore Dargah Indian Muslim Heritage Centre decided to display a collection of 80 different spices forming a 36.2m spice line on its wall. About 410 bottles were used for the line. Kampung Senang Charity & Education Foundation organises the yearly Green and Healthy Festival. 60 ladies from Siglap South CC gathered on 20 Oct 2019 to make a kolam design in the hall of the CC. But instead of flour as done traditionally, they used jasmine flowers to form the intersecting lines. 200 clay lamps took the place of kolam dots to mark Singapore’s Bicentennial. Cheng Jing Hui Dragon & Lion Dance Association celebrated its 30th anniversary with a gala dinner at the Arumugam Road temple grounds on 13 Oct 2019. Most Number Of People Painting Plastic Bottle Flowers Together

Yuvabharathi International School, together with Vijayalakshmi Mohan, organised a Deepavali event at Gardens By The Bay on 14 Oct 2019. 341 people from the school, social services agencies and volunteers turned up to paint plastic ‘flowers’ cut from the bottoms of disposable water bottles.
