The Dairy Farm Group’s annual community engagement event this year was held at the open space near JCube on 21 Jul 2013. A highlight of the event was the participation by 10 schools to create an artistically designed garden measuring 19.2m by 8m and using recycled materials. Some 2,000 residents, including new immigrants, gathered at the Lawn@Marina Bay on 20 Jul 2013 for the annual International Cultural Fiesta. Most Number Of Origami Hearts Folded In 1 Hr
In its Heart-for-Rice charity drive, Kaki Bukit youths folded 65,434 origami hearts in one hour. Largest Mass Walk With Balloons
People’s Association’s PAssion Fun Around the Bay was organised at the Promontory @ Marina Bay on 13 Jul 2013. Among the many carnival-like activities on that day was the Skechers PAssion Fun Walk where participants did a 3.5km walk with red heart-shaped balloons. 2,225 walkers were counted to be holding or wearing balloons.
