Keppel FELS, a unit of Keppel Offshore & Marine, was awarded the title of largest offshore rig manufacturer by Guinness World Records in Dec 2014. All aspects of its business were assessed including marketing, engineering, procurement, logistics, planning, project management, production and operations. The company designs, constructs and repairs rigs. In 2013, it set a new industry record when it completed and delivered 21 offshore rigs to customers. That was most number of rig deliveries by a company in a single year.
