To promote its toothpaste, Colgate Palmolive and its advertising agency Y&R Singapore, built the largest ant farm habitat placed inside a molar tooth image. The billboard for bus shelter advertisements measured 1.2m by 0.9m and 0.08m in depth. About 200-300 ants were released into the habitat creating mini tunnels within the gel, thus giving the impression that the ‘tooth’ had cavities. In May 2009, Guinness awarded it a world record.
