Largest Coastal Clean-Up Campaign

For 4 months from Jul to Oct, over a thousand participants from voluntary groups and schools helped to clean up Singapore’s beaches, collecting 10,397 kg of marine waste. At the Great Ocean Dash, the Spongebob-themed fun run on 23 Nov 2025, the record was awarded to the organisers at Sentosa Palawan Green.

Nee Soon GRC organised a Fitness Fiesta at MPC@Khatib on 7 Dec 2025. 495 residents, including children, took part in the clean and jerk workout. Using whatever weights they were comfortable with, they did 50 reps using the right arm and 50 with the left.

The Star Vista commissioned a new Christmas Tree this year which is taller than the previous one they had for the last few years. Excluding the star topper it measured 21m. The record was awarded on 5 Dec 2025 with a lighting up ceremony and performance by the New Creation Church choir.

Longest Handpainted Pathway

The 91m pathway linking 241 Joo Chiat Road to Haig Girls’ School was officially completed on 4 Dec 2025 as part of Joo Chiat’s Christmas light-up. Led by artist Sophia Ong, it was painted by the community over the last 4 weeks. The project, initiated by Katong-Joo Chiat Business Association, had the support of URA’s Lively Places Fund.
