Longest Handpainted Pathway
The 91m pathway linking 241 Joo Chiat Road to Haig Girls’ School was officially completed on 4 Dec 2025 as part of Joo Chiat’s Christmas light-up. Led by artist Sophia Ong, it was painted by the community over the last 4 weeks. The project, initiated by Katong-Joo Chiat Business Association, had the support of URA’s Lively Places Fund. On 3 Dec 2025, the culinary team of Resorts World Sentosa displayed Singapore’s longest gingerbread train measuring 71m at WEAVE Singapore. It was made of 168 intricately handcrafted carriages.
