The 2nd Singapore Infantry Brigade celebrated its 46th anniversary on 21 Nov 2014 and set two records on that day. 720 servicemen started off doing 46 push-ups simultaneously to the call by a commander. On 23 Nov 2014, Marine Parade GRC, Potong Pasir and Mountbatten SMCs organised a lunch gathering at Qian Xi Restaurant to celebrate Grandparents’ Day. Largest Archway Made Of Plastic Bag Flowers
As part of the nationwide scheme to make flowers from recycled plastic bags, Ulu Pandan residents completed 15,000 of these ‘SG50 Flowers’. The flowers were used to make a 3.3m by 4.2m archway to welcome participants at the ‘Grandparents’ Day’ event at Ulu Pandan CC on 22 Nov 2014. Sembcorp Industries’ Family Day was held at Gardens by the Bay on 15 Nov 2014. Those present were given goodie bags which included snacks and bottles of water. The empty bottles were then returned and glued on a wooden frame.
