Largest Mass Multi-Language Poem Reading

In celebration of SG50, Moulmein – Kallang GRC and Whampoa SMC arrranged for residents to picnic by the banks on the Kallang River on 25 Jul 2015. Other than singing together, 926 residents also read local poems in the 4 languages.

Largest Display Of Floating Artworks

In conjunction with the PAssionArts Festival 2015, the residents of Kolam Ayer Constituency presented Singapore’s first ever water art gallery. 24 artworks were painted by 500 Kolam Ayer residents over a series of workshops from May 2015.  They were laid on plastic pipes and floated on the Kallang river on 25 Jul 2015. The 41m by 2m display was put up by University-YMCA Singapore, a club run by YMCA of Singapore whose members are SMU, NUS and NTU undergrads.
