Every year, Geylang West CC YEC and Kolam Ayer CC YEC jointly organise egg painting competitions. On 27 Apr 2019, youths and volunteers arranged 1,308 ointments sponsored by Leung Kai Fook Medical Company to form the event’s titles measuring 4m by 2m. Teck Whye Primary School celebrates its 60th anniversary this year. Among the many celebration activities was one to remind students to keep flying high. On 2 May 2019, students folded paper airplanes from coloured papers and arranged 1,109 of them to form the word ‘TWPS60’ at the school hall. The word formation was measured to be 8.7m by 6.6m. The National Steps Challenge organised by Health Promotion Board brought over a thousand people to Palawan Green in Sentosa on 27 Apr 2019.
