On 7 Aug 2015, several line dance groups gathered at the Sentosa Merlion Plaza to break their previous year’s record. A total of 410 people managed to dance for 3 hours with only a 5 min break in between the hours. Moulmein-Kallang GRC and Whampoa SMC celebrated their last National Dinner dinner at Farrer Park on 8 Aug 2015. The GRC would be dissolved after the coming general elections. At Holland Close on 9 Aug 2015, Buona Vista Constituency celebrated its National Day Observance Ceremony with an acrylic ‘SG50’ sculpture. Largest Logo Made Of Red Beans
Nanyang Business School of NTU welcomed new students on its campus on 5 Aug 2015. With assistance from the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants, the organising committee formed a 5m-diameter SG50 logo using red beans and rice in bottles on the stage.
