GliderFest@RP was organised by the Republic Polytechnic’s School of Engineering for secondary school students to challenge their abilities in glider modelling and to inspire them in the marvels of flying machines. The climax of the day-long event on 28 Oct 2015 was to have all teams throwing their balsa gliders at the same time. 57 gliders made by the 260 attendees were airborne for several seconds.
