For its SG50 National Day celebration, Global Indian International School wanted to set up the Jubilee logo with origami butterflies. Students of classes 1-6 gathered in the school auditorium on 4 Aug 2015 and in 30 minutes, they folded 7,772 origami butterflies with used paper. Students from various schools were at the Singapore Science Centre to learn how to program and code LED lights at workshops sponsored by Microsoft. They also drew pictures on plain T-shirts and stitched the circuits on the shirts.
