Student Councillors of Hong Kah Secondary School teamed up with Jurong Green CC YEC and Jurong Central Zone C RC to engage residents at the nearby Block 414 Plaza to make paper roses from old newspaper and magazines. On 8 Apr 2016, about half of the 5,000 roses were displayed in the school hall to form the words ‘Friends@JWest’, measuring 1.6m by 3.9m.

Largest Balloon Landscape

For the sixth year, balloon maestro Lily Tan led an international team of 50 balloon artists from 7 countries, to create a Fairytale Land at Marina Square. Using 92,000 balloons in a display area measuring 17.7m by 30.7m, they spent 4 days setting up the show. For 3 days on 18-20 Mar 2016, visitors swarmed Marina Square to pose with the colourful balloon sculptures.
