The finals of Mediacorp Channel 8’s The Records Challenge were played out at Singapore Polytechnic on 27 Jul 2008. 1,308 students from Fuhua Secondary School, Bukit Panjang Government High School, Townsville Primary School and Anglo-Chinese School were filmed for the TV programme. After 4 hr, Fuhua students completed the most laps.

On 24 Jun 2016, over 600 beneficiaries and caregivers from Singapore Anglican Community Services and T-Touch, comprising Temasek International staff volunteers, worked together to create the record Post-it picture at the Singapore Sports School. Over 9,000 Post-it notes were arranged to form the 11.4m by 4.5m ‘Discover’ collage to raise awareness about mental health and being people-centric.

JCI Orchid Jayceettes of Singapore organised a 2-day carnival for senior citizens cared for by the Lions Befrienders, on 25-26 Jun 2016 at East Coast Park. On both mornings, Taiwanese experts taught the elderly the arm swinging exercise, known as Ping Shuai Gong. In the second session, 180 participants set the new exercise record.

From 6-12 Jun 2016, children at Waterway Point got to make Play-Doh cupcakes with materials and equipment provided by Hasbro, the brand’s owner. The 2,088 cupcakes were than arranged into a tower on the final day, 1.8m wide and 2.9m high, to celebrate Play-Doh’s 60th aniversary and the worldwide sale of 3 billion cans of the dough in that timeframe.
