LD Waxson, a manufacturer of beauty and body care products, organised a 2-km Wellness Walk on 30 Jul 2017 at Ang Mo Kio-Bishan Park. Over 500 participants turned up and were given the company’s Ebene knee guard as well as other health samples. 218 walkers were counted to be walking with the knee guards.

Jalan Besar GRC and Potong Pasir SMC celebrated this year’s PassionArts Festival at Bugis+ shopping mall in order to reach out to more people. 100 waus, handpainted by volunteers at the CCs, were displayed there on 29 Jul 2017. ‘Wau’ is a traditional Malay kite that originated from the Malaysian state of Kelantan.

Tampines Central Community Arts and Culture Club arranged for freshly-cut tree trunks to be brought down to Our Tampines Hub. For several months, sculptors from Occasians debarked, carved and painted them into totem poles. Sometimes shoppers chipped in to help.
