The Singapore Association for the Deaf celebrated the commencement of the International Week of the Deaf at Toa Payoh Hub on 15 Sep 2018. On 8 Sep 2018, they had volunteers to keep the kentung and beduk drumming continuously for 2hr 50 min. These large carved-out wooden drums were traditionally used by a mosque to call for obligatory prayers or to alert villagers to fires or other calamities.

HDB organised a half-day filled with activities for its staff at Tampines Sports Hub on 10 Sep 2018. Working in teams, more than 100 people built a race track using cardboards and masking tapes.
