Largest Gathering Of People Wearing Antler Headbands

Singapore Disability Sports Council organised the first Reindeer Walk-a-Wheelathon on 30 Nov 2014 at Singapore Sports Hub. 718 people wearing antler headbands and red noses took part in the 3.5km mass walk with a number covering the route in wheelchairs. The event was to raise funds for athletes taking part in AseanPara Games to be hosted here in 2015.

The Singapore trio of Tao Yi Jun, Tay Yu Juan and Emily Sin clinched the duilian title at the World Wushu Championships in Turkey in Oct 2011. Duilian is a choreographed form of fighting for 2 or 3 exponents, using either bare-hands or with weapons.

Most Number Of People Doing Synchronised Push-Ups & Sit Ups

The 2nd Singapore Infantry Brigade celebrated its 46th anniversary on 21 Nov 2014 and set two records on that day. 720 servicemen started off doing 46 push-ups simultaneously to the call by a commander. After a short break, the same people worked in pairs to do 46 sit-ups. The two records were achieved at Mandai Hill Camp.

Largest Display Of Paper Carnation Flowers

On 23 Nov 2014, Marine Parade GRC, Potong Pasir and Mountbatten SMCs organised a lunch gathering at Qian Xi Restaurant to celebrate Grandparents’ Day. At the back of the stage, 4,709 folded paper carnation flowers were displayed on a board measuring 2.1m by 2.4m as a backdrop. Largest Archway Made Of Plastic Bag Flowers

As part of the nationwide scheme to make flowers from recycled plastic bags, Ulu Pandan residents completed 15,000 of these ‘SG50 Flowers’. The flowers were used to make a 3.3m by 4.2m archway to welcome participants at the ‘Grandparents’ Day’ event at Ulu Pandan CC on 22 Nov 2014. Trailing below the archway were twin-12m rows of the flowers.
