Diabetes Singapore organised a 2-day roadshow at Anjung@WGS in Geylang Serai to promote knowledge about the disease in conjunction with World Diabetes Day. On 5 Nov 2023, volunteers painted on a canvas measuring 3m by 29.9m with the theme ‘Roots of Wellness’. At the community event on 4 Nov 2023, senior citizens pasted colourful tissue paper over cards shaped like flowers and varnished over them. Parents William and Subashini wanted to give their toddler Dasheeta something that that will last a lifetime and probably even for her next generation. So they had a 22-carat intricately-designed gold pacifier custom-made by a local jeweller. Weighing 23.87 grams, the 3-by-5-cm pacifier can be attached with replaceable silicon mouth pieces. NTUC Club organised ‘Playverse: A Communities Day Out’ at Downtown East for its members on 21 Oct 2023.
