Over 50 senior citizens from Lions Befrienders Service Association (Clementi AAC) folded paper cranes over 14 sessions, with guidance from volunteers from Becton Dickinson. Volunteers from Jurong Spring Zone B Residents’ Committee collected used plastic bottle caps to create a merlion artwork for National Day. Measuring 1.9m by 1.4m, over 3,000 bottle caps were held by thumb tacks on a board. It debuted at its stage show at Jurong West St 41 on 30 Jul 2022.

Largest National Flag Made Of Cupcakes

Bukit Batok Zone 11 RN celebrated Racial Harmony and National Day with its residents at Bukit Batok St 22 on 23 Jul 2022. Volunteers helped to add sprinkles to colour the cupcakes red and white. The 2,160 cupcakes were assembled to form a 3-by-2.2m flag. After the celebrations, they were distributed to participants and residents in rented flats.
