Largest Singapore Map Made Of Coins

Students and staff of West Grove Primary School contributed their spare change to form the map of Singapore to mark the coming National Day. 6,230 coins were collected and were pasted on the map measuring 1.8m by 2.9m on 28 Jul 2023. The money would later be donated to the Children’s Cancer Foundation.

Reading is the best way to develop proficiency in a language. Potong Pasir IAEC managed to gather 407 people in its hall on 22 Jul 2023 to read Tamil books together. Several schools arranged for their students to join in the event. Most participants brought down their own books but National Library also provided many books for the mass reading.

Largest Tape Art

Bukit Batok East volunteers came down on several weekends to cut and paste pieces of colourful adhesive tapes to create a mural featuring the home of a bygone generation. Residents of Teban Gardens gathered for potluck frequently. In 2017, they had a record 238 dishes. On 22 Jul 2023, they broke the record bringing down 324 dishes to share with fellow residents in celebration of racial harmony. There were 175 Chinese, 64 Indian, 61 halal and 24 other dishes.
