World’s Largest Dome Structure

World’s Largest Dome Structure

The National Stadium at Singapore Sports Hub, rebuilt on the site of the former National Stadium opened in June 2014. With a diameter of 312 metres and a 55,000 capacity, it is the world’s largest dome structure, leaving the Cowboys Stadium in Texas behind. The stadium also sports a huge retractable roof and a flexible interior layout that can host athletics, soccer, rugby, or cricket as required, taking around 48 hours to convert.

The roof takes about 20 minutes to open or close and can also double as a giant projector screen.
