Singapore International School in Hong Kong celebrated SG50 with the collection of canned food to be given to the needy. Moulmein-Kallang GRC & Whampoa SMC residents got to celebrate SG50 the fun and high-tech way with an augmented reality app. Created by the Joint NTU-UBC Research Centre of Excellence in Active Living for the Elderly (LILY), the app enabled residents to take a photo with an ipad while holding up the SG50 logo. MINDS – Lee Kong Chian Gardens School celebrated Racial Harmony Day on 1 Aug 2015. Many students, staff, volunteers and guests participated in folding as many origami tulips as they could in one hour.
