Longest Farmers’ Walk Relay In One Hour
To commemorate its 48th Anniversary, the 21st Battalion Singapore Artillery had its men do 50m relay laps carrying 2 water -filled jerry cans. Arinn Jaay Kannan, who is trained in Tamil theatre and music, performed in a ticketed one-man-play at Our Tampines Hub on 6 Jul 2018. The 14-year-old boy performed Nool, a 45-min play about a cotton yarn that travelled all the way from India to China to Singapore. Read More »
Largest Volleyball Tournament Held Over 24 Hr
To tie in with Shuqun Secondary‘s Homecoming Carnival, the Seh Chuan-Shuqun Alumni Association organised a volleyball tournament that stretched over 24 hours for the Shuqun Alumni Cup 2018. 16 teams competed in 4 groups. Largest Blindfolded Dining
Beyond I organised a dinner event with a difference at the YMCA@One Orchard auditorium on 30 Jun 2018. 140 participants had masks on throughout the eating session. All were game for the experience to understand better people with visual impairment. Funds raised from the event would go to Guide Dogs Singapore. Read More »
Longest Sculpture Made Of Plastic Bottles
City Developments Ltd partnered Global Initiatives to raise public awareness of plastic waste problems. Volunteers from schools and corporates came together to take part in the creation of a display using plastic bottles at the Marina Barrage.
