Largest Parent-and-Child Kayaking Race

SAFRA Punggol organised the Waterway Challenge for its members on 11 Jun 2016 which involved family teams completing a kayak-cycle-run route. In the kayaking race, 120 pairs of parent-and-child rowed between 1.25-1.7 km along Punggol Waterway, depending on the child’s age group. SAF’s 6th Division celebrated its 40th anniversary on 11 Jun 2016 at the Mandai Hill Camp. To mark the occasion with a milestone challenge, the 1,300 servicemen attempted the largest mass chin-up in Singapore. Parkway Parade brought in Rocky Byun, the balancing extraordinaire, from South Korea to perform from 10-19 Jun 2016 at the mall. On 9 Jun, he picked a member of the public, Nani Salam, seated and balanced her on one of the chair’s legs for 11.8 sec. Pezzo Pizza, together with 70 children from Club Rainbow created a 1.95m-diameter dessert pizza at NUS Sheares Hall on 3 Jun 2016. It was topped with chocolate spread, caramelised bananas, marshmallows and heart-shaped sprinkles. Most Number Of People Bouncing Basketballs Together

ActiveSG Basketball Academy was launched on 29 May 2016 at the Padang, Connaught Drive, to develop children and youths for the sport. Commencing in Sep, the academy will conduct basketball lessons at Choa Chu Kang, Clementi, Delta, Hougang, and Pasir Ris Sports Centres.
