For over 3 months, 30 seniors of Mountbatten Art Club had been making a toran display using recycled materials. Led by Manisha Sarkar, they worked with materials like used toilet tissue rolls, carton cardboards, hongbaos and magazines. Completed on 5 Feb 2025, the 70m long toran encircled the hall at Katong CC with the addition of three 2m pieces hanging over the doors. Toran is a traditional Indian door decoration to welcome guests.
