Changi Simei CC celebrated PAssionArts Festival on 14 Jun 2014 at Simei Plaza with many creative activities. In ‘Palms of Simei’, residents placed their palmprints on small pieces of canvas which would later be hung on palm trees around Simei. Another highlight was when 50 residents took turns using a mop to write the word ‘jia’ (home) under the guidance of calligrapher Master Wu Sheng Ping. The 9.4m by 7.3m word would be hung in the CC when its renovation is completed.
