‘Rhythms in Unity’ is an Indian cultural gathering regularly organised by the Ang Mo Kio GRC & Sengkang West SMC IAECs. Anchorvale CC IAEC hosted this year’s event and in celebration of SG50, had decided that something historic should be carried out. 38,300 tealights were lighted, stretching 14.4m by 5.2m, on 11 Jul 2015.

Asia Pacific Furniture Fair opened on 11 Jul 2015 at MBS, featuring the largest mattress in Singapore, made by Sleepnight. Measuring 3.1m by 2.6m by 0.5m, the mattress weighs 158 kg and was available for sale at $18,888. Sleepnight mattresses originated from the UK 30 years ago but is now owned by a Singapore company.
