Over 200 babies competed for SAFRA Punggol’s Diaper Dash on 3 Sep 2016. After 26 rounds, the national baby crawl record remained unbroken. Largest Ceramic Mosaic Art
Over 9 months, staff, visitors, schools and community groups took part in placing 380,000 small tiles to form the 34.6m by 2.8 – 3.0m high mosaic artwork at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital. The mural, designed by Nanette Zehnder, was officially unveiled on 31 Aug 2016. The hospital believes that art can be therapeutic for patients, and also help caregivers reduce stress. Read More »
World’s Largest National Flag Made Of Jelly
80 students from the Imperial College Singapore Society in London created the world’s largest jelly mosaic out of 16,125 box-sized jelly pieces in the shape of the Singapore flag on the university lawn on 21 Feb 2004. AXA Singapore organised the Blue Elephant Parade at Nex from 21-26 Aug 2016. Shoppers were taught how to fold origami elephants and in so doing, AXA would be contributing towards the Singapore Cancer Society. In the final moments of the roadshow, 11,203 elephants were counted. Read More »
Largest Gathering Of People Wearing Costumes Based On A Movie
Japanese anime movie, One Piece Film Gold, was launched at GV Plaza on 19 Aug 2016. Many come to the movie dressed in the movie characters’ costumes.
