LD Waxson, a manufacturer of beauty and body care products, organised a 2-km Wellness Walk on 30 Jul 2017 at Ang Mo Kio-Bishan Park. ArtBeatz presented ‘Pinocchio: A Whale of Tale’, a musical puppet show written by award-winning musicians Bang Wenfu and Kenneth Lyen, from 5 to 30 Jul 2017 at Far East Square. Tampines Central Community Arts and Culture Club arranged for freshly-cut tree trunks to be brought down to Our Tampines Hub. For several months, sculptors from Occasians debarked, carved and painted them into totem poles. Sometimes shoppers chipped in to help. Largest Simultaneous Pulling Of Heavy Vehicles
On 27 Jul 2017, over 200 men from the 21st Battalion Singapore Artillery tested their strength against their own machineries. Simultaneously, they pulled 5 Broncos, a 15-ton all-terrain tracked carrier and 5 FH2000, a 12-ton howitzer, over 47m on the Kranji Camp parade square to mark their 47th anniversary. Longest Football Dribble Relay
20 footballers including FC Bayern Munich superstars James Rodriguez, Thomas Müller and David Alaba set the new dribbling relay record. Stretching 10.6 km, the relay began with Fandi Ahmad at the Jalan Besar Stadium, and ended in the heart of the CBD at Clifford Square.
