Tampines Central Community Arts and Culture Club arranged for freshly-cut tree trunks to be brought down to Our Tampines Hub. For several months, sculptors from Occasians debarked, carved and painted them into totem poles. Sometimes shoppers chipped in to help. On 27 Jul 2017, over 200 men from the 21st Battalion Singapore Artillery tested their strength against their own machineries. Simultaneously, they pulled 5 Broncos, a 15-ton all-terrain tracked carrier and 5 FH2000, a 12-ton howitzer, over 47m on the Kranji Camp parade square to mark their 47th anniversary. Both are Singapore-made fighting vehicles.
