Youngest Trekker To Kala Patthar

Kala Patthar, meaning ‘black rock’ in Nepali, is famous for its stunning views of Mount Everest and some other Himalayan peaks. While not a towering mountain itself, it reaches an altitude of 5,644m. Darrshan Raj V Thurairajasingam, 14, and his father made a trip there, arriving at Kathmandu Airport on 30 May and leaving on 11 Jun. They reached Kala Patthar at 1315h on 8 Jun 2025. Darrshan was the youngest Singaporean to reach Everest Base Camp when he arrived on 14 Jun 2019 at just 8 years 11 months.
