Jurong Spring Zone B RC celebrated Deepavali with a buffet dinner at Jurong West Street 41 on 7 Nov 2015. The most outstanding decoration at the event was a 9m by 22m floor display of collages pasted with multi-shaped mirrors and line drawings. Most Number Of People Wearing Purple Glasses

The Purple Parade is an annual carnival that celebrates the inclusion of persons with special needs. On 31 Oct 2015, about 3,000 people gathered at Hong Lim Park, a majority of them in purple shirts. Purple plastic spectacles were given out and 590 were counted around the stage area wearing them.

Longest Rubber Band Chain

Students of Chongzheng Primary School collected red rubber bands and each class formed a string to play yeh-yeh, a rubber band game, during PE sessions. A few months later, the many strings of yeh-yeh were consolidated to form Singapore’s longest rubber band chain. On 6 Nov 2015, the neatly taped chain was measured to be 3.3 km.
