Registration for OCBC Cycle 2016 was launched on 15 Apr 2016 at Orchard Gateway with a 24-hr cycling event on the side. Within the time frame, 5 cyclists competed for the longest distance in 6 hours. With a distance of 217.2 km, Alan Grant, 48, smashed the current record to emerge winner. Grant, a journalist with Flat Spoke Media, represented the cycling club Specialized Mavericks which also won the 24-hr team event with 864.9km clocked.
