Devika Yogest Aphale, 22, spent 4 months doing a 1.56m-by-1.03m Madhubani painting, an Indian folk art going back 2,500 years. Using acrylics and marker pens, the recent SIM-RMIT graduate weaved Singapore’s iconic images into the Madhubani’s style of nature, geometric patterns and bold lines. On completion, she donated the masterpiece to Jurong Spring CC on 16 Aug 2025, for the community to enjoy its beauty.
