The Indian Restaurants Association Singapore (IRAS) organised a food festival from 27 Nov to 10 Dec 2023 at Birch St. On the last day, 180 visitors tried their hands at making roti pratas the traditional way, flipping and stretching the dough. 40 qualified for the finals to compete with 20 professional prata chefs. Each was given a standard 80g dough. The winner was Cho Wai Lwin from Casuarina Curry who managed to make one with an average diameter of 61 cm.
