Journalists Desmond Chan from Singapore, Pan Eu Jin from Malaysia, and Pholpat Salayakanond from Thailand, drove the Porsche Taycan 4S Cross Turismo from Bangkok’s Kanchanaphisek Road Shell Station to Singapore’s Gardens by the Bay. The 1,845-km journey took just 29 hr 15 min inclusive of 7 re-charging stops of about 25 min each at Shell stations. The expedition on 18-19 Jul 2023 was organised by Porsche Asia-Pacific.
In 2021, the Porsche Taycan driven by Wayne Gerdes, broke the Guinness world record. He drove from Los Angeles to New York City covering 4,562 km with a cumulative charge time of just 2 hr 26 min 48 sec.
