Renowned rangoli artist, Vijya Mohan, supplied and arranged with 50 organisations to paint plastic water pots (kudam) to celebrate SG50. The art installation at the 50 locations was also part of the Singaport Art Week. The Thye Hua Kwan Charity Show was broadcast live from Mediacorp Studios on 4 Jan 2015. It featured marine life balloon sculptures on the entire stage in its final segment. An area of 9.6m x 12m was installed in 4 min from balloons prepared earlier by Lily Tan and her team, with some assistance from TV celebrities.

Largest Logo Made Of Ping Pong Balls

At Sembawang GRC Countdown 2015, after the display of fireworks at midnight, a huge SG50 logo was unveiled to mark the beginning of Singapore’s Jubilee year. The logo made of 7,744 red and white table tennis balls (88 rows by 88 columns) measured 3.5m by 3.5m. The logo was built by the Woodlands Galaxy CC Youth Team.
