Largest Chalk Art

To tie in with its display of treasures from the Aga Khan Museum, the Asian Civilisation Museum invited members of the public to help it break the Singapore chalk art record. Over 200 visitors got down on their knees to chalk up colourful Islamic-style geometric patterns on the ACM courtyard on 8 Sep 2012. The artwork measured 12m by 16.8m.

The Aga Khan Museum, due to open in 2013 in Toronto, has loaned its Islamic arts and artefacts to ACM.
