On 27 Sep 2015, Frasers Centrepoint Malls celebrated Mid-Autumn festival with many fun-filled activities for shoppers at Causeway Point. Largest Airplane Pulled By A Group Of People
To celebrate its 40th anniversary, 80 personnel from ST Aerospace managed to pull a Boeing aeroplane a distance of 40m on 5 Sep 2015. The ANA’s Boeing 767-381ER weighed 102 tonnes, inclusive of its fuel. It had a wingspan of 48m and length of 55m. The feat was part of the carnival held at ST Aerospace’s premises at Paya Lebar. Bukit Batok East Constituency organised a Cha Kiak (clog) Walkathon on 5 Sep 2015. Walking with clogs from Yusof Ishak Secondary School to Bukit Batok East Ave 4, the event brought back old memories for the seniors. Even the dragon dancers paraded in clogs. First Interactive Gaming Kiosk Equipped With Personal Wellness Analytics
The Research Centre of Excellence in Active Living for the Elderly (Lily), an NTU partnership with University of British Columbia, developed a virtual table tennis game that analyses the player’s body movement. The game can help to predict a person’s risk for illnesses such as Parkinson’s. The kiosk, incorporating a TV, a computer and a Kinect sensor, was launched on 30 Aug 2015 at Woodlands CC.
