NTU students broke the world record for the longest human centipede on 29 Jul 2005 at Bishan Park. 1,601 participants had their ankles tied to the ankles of those next to them and the centipede successfully crawled more than 30m.

Largest Simultaneous Pulling Of Heavy Vehicles

On 27 Jul 2017, over 200 men from the 21st Battalion Singapore Artillery tested their strength against their own machineries. Simultaneously, they pulled 5 Broncos, a 15-ton all-terrain tracked carrier and 5 FH2000, a 12-ton howitzer, over 47m on the Kranji Camp parade square to mark their 47th anniversary. Both are Singapore-made fighting vehicles.

Woodgrove constituency celebrated Racial Harmony and Community Sports Day at Woodlands Mega Sports Park on 23 Jul 2017. The event saw an art installation of 10,000 multi-coloured origami orchids hung from a metal scaffolding. The different colours were to represent the multi-racial society in Singapore. The origami orchids were folded by residents and participants at Pacific Activity Centres.

With 2 people per team, 193 students – from 50 primary and secondary schools – had an hour to whip up 2 sandwich creations at the new Keat Hong CC hall.
