For a couple of weeks students of Yuvabharathi International School pasted colourful chips of acrylic mirrors on pieces of board to create an artwork depicting four ethnic characters. ITE College East and 1st SAF Transport Battalion collaborated for the National Day celebration on 8 Aug 2019. At the college, 200 NSmen and students laid down on the floor in a serpentine formation and passed 20 rugby balls from one to another while doing sit-ups. 200 people were to symbolise Singapore’s Bicentennial. Largest Mass Greater Singapore Workout
The National Day observance ceremony organised by Woodgrove CC on 9 Aug 2019 involved doing the Greater Singapore Workout, followed by a mass brisk walk. This exercise is a relaunched jazzed-up version of the Great Singapore Workout, introduced 25 years ago by the Health Promotion Board. 433 people participated at the Woodlands Ave 1 Mega Sports Park.
